Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will launch launch a home schooling programme at 9 am on June 15, said State Education minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama while interacting with media persons here.

He said, Dooardarshan Girnar TV channel will air school education sessions for students of class 3 to 8 for daily 30 minutes and for class 9 to 12 for daily one hour.

Chudasama siad, GCERT under the State government has developed this innovative digital home learning programme, further for the first time in India.

‘Union ministery of Human Resource Development has stated that schools-colleges are going to remain closed till August 15 this year. The State government has come out with home learning programme as schools are going to remain closed for such a long time and globally, the recent trend has been physical to digital shift,’ the minister said adding that those without TV facility will be given self-learning material through teachers.

‘Home learning material ‘Ghare Shikhiye’ has been developed in such a way that students can do self learning and also can take help of parents,’ he said adding that the government has planned clusters of 30-35 students. The teachers will remain in contact with cluster of students through phone calls.

In reply to a question, Chudasama said, nowadays, digital online education is going to be only alternative. Those who don’t have this facility are bring given books supplied at their doorstep and this distribution will end by June 15.

In reply to another question, he said, four teachers have died of Covid-19. Two of them have been given relief as per rules, while process of payment of relief to other two is underway.

Gandhinagar, Saturday: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will launch ‘home learning’ programme on Monday, June 15, 2020, to be telecast through DD Girnar Channel at 8 a.m. to keep moving academic activity.

The decision has been taken by the State Education Department under the guidance of the Chief Minister in the wake of educational activity already affected due to global pandemic novel coronavirus COVID-19.

This was disclosed by Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasma here today during a meeting on the programme in presence of Minister of State Vibhavariben Dave that DD Girnar will telecast the educational programme for Standard 3 to 12.

Similarly, BISEG will telecast programme of GCERT and Secondary Education Board for Standard 5 to 12 through Vande Gujarat Channel.

For those who do not have access to TV or Mobile Arrangements are being made to prepare prints of the GCERT programme for Standard 1 to 8 to be distributed by respective district agencies.

The entire literature is available on One National-One Platform-DIKSHA as announced by MHRT.

Meanwhile, teachers are busy distributing textbooks and educational kits, in the form of audiovisuals, to the students and their parent at their home with the help of local agencies.
